What is this event?
Paint From Your Soul™ takes women on a transformational art journey combining archetypal wisdom and the spiritual side of art-making. It's deeper than any art class because the focus is on how art can reflect who you really are, while an art class focuses on teaching techniques.
Paint From Your Soul™ teaches you to trust the image and follow "what wants to happen" helping you develop your intuition and self confidence. It's also a sacred space for like-hearted individuals to connect, unlike a Paint n Sip, which is a loud party scene.
Paint From Your Soul™ was designed for introverts and empaths who want to experience the deeper, spiritual side of art and the hidden meaning it can hold for its Maker. Even though Paint From Your Soul™ was designed by an art therapist, it's not therapy. The focus is on using art as a self reflective tool that takes you on a journey.
There are 7 steps in the Paint From Your Soul™ framework that encourage you to build up layers of paint and infuse meaning in it so that your painting is authentic and represents the journey you went on to create it.

What is your refund policy?
An in person session will need at least 3 people to run the retreat. If there are not enough sign ups, I will cancel the retreat a month prior and refund you. If you are unable to make it, I will offer a refund if you notify me a week ahead of time. If you notify me less than one week, I will not offer a refund, but extend a credit to a future event. I understand that life happens, so I will work with you for the best outcome.

What materials will we be using?
Art Supplies:
16x20" canvas
Basic set of acrylic paints plus raw sienna
1 medium sized brush, 1 small square brush, 1 small round brush
Gloss or matte medium
Piece of chalk or Willow charcoal
Paper towel
Plastic fork
Paper and Pencil to sketch with
Washcloth that can get paint on it
Paper plates
Optional
easel, paint markers, marbles or balls that can get paint on them
Plastic pallet knife
**If you don't like the feeling of paint on your hands, you will want to get a pair of latex gloves OR avoid painting techniques that involve getting your hands messy***
Who is it for?
This event is for any Creative Spirit who feels creatively stuck or wants to create art that is deeply meaningful and comes from the soul. No experience is necessary - just a willingness to pick up a brush.
If you'd like your art to be infused with deep meaning and purpose, we will show you a spiritual approach to art-making that will change how you view the creation process!
How will I join the retreat?

Will we be critiquing the art?
No, we are not in favor of critiquing artwork in general. We don't find it therapeutic or supportive of the art maker.
We will share and process in small groups to receive feedback and inspiration as you go through the process.
Can I use something other than acrylics?
No, for the specific process we are doing in this event, acrylics are necessary.
We love all mediums but acrylics offer a quick dry time and ability to build up layers that we need for this experiential.
Do you teach techniques?
Yes, we will be teaching you drawing and painting techniques that will help you create an image you feel proud of while also learning to listen to the wisdom of the image and trust what wants to happen.
