Hi, I’m Joanne Rohe-Nichols.

I want to create connections between people and their art. It doesn’t matter if you are an artist or not. Everyone can make a mark. That mark and all that follow can tell you a lot about yourself. I want to help you find that message hidden in the artwork. Come with me!

I am currently living in Eastern Missouri with my family. My day job as an optician involves fitting people for glasses and contacts. I have been doing that for several years now. Growing up, I never thought that would be something I spent my time doing. It’s more technical and logical based than creative. I have been in love with art my whole life. I attended college for fine arts, but never further invested in my passion because of fear and anxiety. I let those emotions drive for many years while raising my family with my “practical job.” I have reached a point in my life where I need to do something I love. I want to spend the rest of my time on this earth making a difference with heart value. I believe there is value in uplifting other women by bringing out love for themselves. I looked at psychology and art therapy, but the method Michelle Baker uses to connect with other women was so resonant, I knew I needed to learn how to do this.

Humans crave connection. Real connection. This program brings out nourishment for ourselves and connection to other women, fostering a sisterhood that feels so enriching. No previous art experience is needed. It is so comprehensive that anybody can do this. Anybody can bring out soul messages in their work by simple intuition.

The jobs I have had throughout my life in service to other people. I have decorated cakes, bringing families joy in celebration with something tasty and beautiful. I have learned how to use optical science to literally help people see the world around them, thus enhancing their lives. I have learned how to fire dance using poi, staff, and fans. This brought awe, a sense of wonder, and an uplifting experience to both perform with and observe. I delivered pizza so nobody had to cook for dinner. I worked for a small local art store to talk about art and find ways to make other people’s creative projects come to life. For many years I worked in the Entertainment department for Six Flags, bringing joy and memories to all who visited. I have always wanted to make connections through helping other people. Now I want to add creativity and really follow what I have always loved. The Creativity Era is here!
